PERSONAL STYLISTS: New York Style Week + NYC Shopping Holidays
One of the perks of being a fashion stylist is getting invited to the style weeks, and New York Way Week is one of my favourites! Information technology's a privilege to attend the shows of top designers I've continued to back up over the years. Information technology'south also a bully way to find new designers for the benefit of my clients. For example, some NYC designers don't feature that much in London stores. This makes discovering them and wearing a piece from their collection and so exciting, as it's a new expect no ane else has. By attending the shows, I also get a glimpse of trends before they become popular. I can pass this information on to those of my clients who don't wish to merely follow trends, simply be trendsetters themselves. Each client is different, and interpreting the trends to adjust them individually is so exciting! I of my clients, Casey, booked a Personal Styling Shopping Trip in NYC as part of my International Shopping Holidays. I combined her NYC shopping itinerary with a trip to New York Fashion Week and Soho House events. Nosotros had a brawl! So many photos and memorable moments… beneath a few highlights!
At the ruby-red rug for Chromat bear witness - Casey's first NYFW! In good visitor with the NYFW designers kickoff shows honoured on the wall behind usa. After nosotros celebrated at Soho House New York where Casey was immediately complimented on the outfit she put together from 1 of our styling sessions (such a rockstar!).
Nosotros loved Rebecca Minkoff's presentation - so colourful and well put together. Meeting Rebecca subsequently the bear witness was ane of our highlights!
Of class, it wouldn't be New York Fashion Week without the occasional A-list celebrity and popular star sighting! The stars were out a Christian Siriano show - Oh hey Lucy Liu, Alicia Silverstone, and Megan Trainor.

Alice + Olivia's presentation was so pretty and surreal! Casey couldn't resist a styling session at the flagship. Great fun, and such an opportunity for Casey equally an Alice + Olivia fan! Especially as they don't take a flagship yet in London (although we were told coming soon).
At the Alice + Olivia presentation where Casey met designer Stacey Bendet, whose kickoff words were how much she loved the bear witness-stopping look she put together to honour the designer and her showcase!
At Saks 5th Avenue way 'Advanced' department, where the high fashion looks are institute at this iconic NYC department store. For every client I prepare a range of clothing along the mode vs classic spectrum. I select colours, styles, fabrics and prints that suit each individual'south natural looks, so they can choose how 'fashion' they would like to go. It'due south a fun fashion to experiment with the trends! Flashback to a yr agone, to our commencement styling session in London! Casey has come up a long way…
Today she is shutting it downward at New York Manner week! :) See you again side by side season Paris!
